Prolific writer to speak at Rose Society meeting Thursday

The Rose Society of Saddleback Mountain will host its next meeting Thursday, March 14 featuring ?self-claimed Rose Evangelist? and prolific writer Bob Martin.

The meeting is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Santa Margarita Water District, 26111 Antonio Parkway. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Bob Martin has been growing roses for more than 40 years. He is a master ?rosarian? and an accredited horticultural and arrangements judge.? He has written more than 500 articles on roses and will discuss the ?Things (about roses) I Didn?t Learn in Kindergarten,? which includes valuable lessons about growing roses at seven different houses in Southern California and Arizona.
