Japanese electronics giant Panasonic Corporation and RealVNC, the Cambridge UK software business, are joining forces to bring smartphone2vehicle connectivity to market.?Panasonic division Automotive Systems Company is using RealVNC software to deliver a next generation in-car entertainment and driving solution.
RealVNC?s automotive technology has been integrated into Panasonic?s display-audio infotainment system to enable the screen of a smartphone to be replicated and controlled from the touchscreen display on the vehicle head unit.The partners say this capability provides drivers and passengers with seamless access to a wide range of smartphone content such as maps, music and internet radio.
Panasonic?s Display-Audio system has already been adopted by a major automotive manufacturer, is in production and is currently available to drivers as a dealer option.

RealVNC?s technology has already been widely adopted by the automotive industry as the standard for integrating mobile and vehicle, with partners including the world?s largest automotive, infotainment, OEM and Tier 1 manufacturers.

Panasonic has flagged up the game-changing potential of tRealVNC?s solution for the automotive market.
