Base Coat Application
Nails are supposed to be very sensitive and can be harmed easily. Direct application of nail paint, can harm the cuticles and cause discoloration. The nails would turn to yellow.
Basecoat can be compared to that of foundation cream applied on the face. Applying base coat helps in setting up a stage on the nails before the nail paint is applied. It makes the surface smooth and even. Usually the basecoat will be transparent in color. Sometimes, people tend to apply two coats of the base as well. This is applicable especially to those with long nails.
Thin layered Coats of Nail Paint
Every time before you paint your nails, remember to check for the brush. The brush needs to be flat and not round or any kind of overgrowth popping out. If you think, you can cut off the part of brush and make it more flat, the better it would be for application.
